The Team Leader Sports and Recreation will be responsible for the effective leadership and management of Council’s Sport and Recreation Team. Including, leading and supporting the planning and delivery of sports coordination, leisure new works projects, development of strategic plans/strategies and provision of advice into several significant community infrastructure projects.
You will be an experienced people leader with an established track record of leading multidisciplinary and cross functional teams, ideally within a local government context. Your ability to establish and maintain high level relationships will be a must to be successful in this role.
Complementary to your leadership attributes you will have strong understanding of community club based sports clubs, capital works planning/delivery; and a history of providing leisure and recreational planning advice within a political sensitive context.
