OCEAN EDUCATOR / SWIMMING INSTRUCTOR – Port Douglas, Palm Cove

No Ripples makes water fun! We are a team of athletes on a mission to spread the benefits of swimming with a monofin and our love for oceans throughout Australia and New ZealandOur workshops are a unique a mix of fun, fitness and ocean education.
About the Job:
You will be responsible for guiding a group of up to 6 kids, from 7 to 14 years old, to swim with a mermaid fin / monofin in a structured workshop environment. You will also lead super fun, educational land activities around ocean conservation and Great Barrier Reef protection. This super charged educational program offers a range of land activities that will engage the kids so the Reef will become their friend.
AustSwim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety / PADI / or similar certificate
Strong verbal communication skills in English
Current CPR Certificate
Working with Children Check or willingness to undertake it
Previous experience in customer service
Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised
Attention to detail – ability to follow tasks and instructions
Must be available to work during school holidays in 2018
Current drivers licence and access to a car
A minimum of 2 years experience in working with kids in an aquatic environment
Yoga and/or freediving experience
Mono-finning / mermaiding experience
Passionate about ocean protection
