Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia is a unique Australian travel company wholly owned by the Indigenous Land Corporation (ILC) offering experience-based holidays in spectacular wilderness locations including Ayers Rock Resort in the iconic Red Centre, Home Valley Station in the Kimberley region of Western Australia and tourism facilities at Mossman Gorge in Tropical North Queensland.
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic proactive person to work with our team in the role of Activities Officer, reporting directly to the General Manager of Yulara Community Services. Your background may be in physical education, youth work, community development, human movement/exercise and or event management.
As the Activities Officer, you will be responsible for the coordination of running of events and activities that strengthens the sense of community and promotes a culture of engagement among Ayers Rock Resort staff and residents. You will work a varied and at times demanding schedule including weekend work.
You knowledge of Microsoft office programs will be strong, including Publisher and you will have the ability to navigate your way around numerous Social Media applications.
You will also be able to provide reports, risk assessments and financial statements on all activities and events conducted.
You will work closely with the National Indigenous Training Academy, local tour operators and government services to produce an inclusive year-round calendar.
